North Wales National Rally Update

The North Wales Centre National will open at 12pm on the 24th August

Please click here for directions and the recipe for Bara Brith, Photographic competition theme is Mountains and Lakes and the theme for the floral competition is Coastal Views. The Decorated car competition will also be taking place so if you have any craft materials or cardboard please bring it along or just help out on the day.

there are no centre lines but you can save spaces for groups on arrival, rally packs haven't been sent out as you will collect them on arrival.

Hi Tide - Rally Update

This rally has now been cancelled due to no marshals coming forward.

Change of Venue

The New year Rally in the book at Silvercross has changed venue - the new venue is Pontlliw Village Hall and dogs are welcomed to the venue.

The rally runs between 27th December to 1st Jan

The Marshals details are the same.

1900th Rally  Update

Tickets are available for the 1900th, we are having a disco on the Friday evening, youth trip plus bingo, harvest supper and Gareth Taylor vocalist on Saturday. The meal is harvest supper style. Please see a member of the committee to book. Price £35 per unit, numbers limited to 180 people.

Glangwdi Farm - Rally Update

11th  - 13th  Glangwdi Farm - Brecon Jazz Rally  no marshals came forward - South Wales centre will now be running this rally - Marshals are Mr & Mrs Murphy tel - 07805062885  or email murstep@icloud.com - all booking received have been passed over to them.

Change of Rally Venue

The rally for 20th – 22nd October this year has been changed from

Brecon Beacons Club Site to Llandovery RFC which has hard standing and electric pitches, to book on please contact Gary & Andrea Glew who are still the marshals.

L’Anse du Brick Normandy - April French Rally

1st to 8th April 2018 the price is £520.00 based on 7 nights at L’Anse du Brick, Cherbourg.    

Travelling from Poole to Cherbourg return which is more convenient port to sail from.  

The time out crossing is 08.30, with not many miles to venue

returning crossing is at 18.30

A £100 non refundable deposit with each booking balance to be paid

Its that time of year again where we need to start collecting nominations for the 2017/18 West Wales Centre main and sub committees, if you would like to join any of these please submit your nomination slips (in the rally book) by midday Saturday 16th September. All positions are up for nomination, (you will need to have sat on the main committee for at least 1 year if you wish to be nominated for the position of chairperson).   

Senior Citizens Concessionary Vouchers

Vouchers used for part /full payment of rally fees need to be for the current year.

The committee have had some incidents where previous years vouchers have been presented and they cannot be accepted.

was a guest judge this year.

Centre Rally Book Cover

The Executive Committee voted at the recent meeting held in East Grinstead on

Monday 24 April 2017.

There was much appreciation of all the entries. The handbooks, whether they are

printed or in a digital format, were of a very high standard again.

The Executive Committee were particularly interested in the use of the Club logo

(albeit the old logo), general design and appearance, and the clarity of the print and

photographs used.

The winning Rally Book Cover designs are:

2nd. South Staffordshire Centre

3rd. Irish Division

And a special mention was given to the South Essex Centre.

Also we will not be sending out pitch numbers, all Centres will still have their own  

blocks with a liaison officer, on arrival you will be directed to your Centre block,

where you can park where you want and if you want to save places you will be able

A Fabulous Achievement

Mike and Barbara Small have attended their 700th Rally, this outstanding

achievement was marked by a 700th Rally Plaque which was presented at the

Easter weekend at the Pembrey Rally by Juliet Campbell

West Wales Chairperson.

Mike and Barbara Small joined the then Caravan Club in July 1985 their

children Kelly and Darren represented the centre in netball and football in many  

Welsh Nationals and  since then their grand children Ashley, Natasha and now

Lucia and Tino also represent our centre in various sports at the Welsh nationals.

Kelly is now a full member of the  Caravan and Motorhome Club and you see

her with the children and Oreo out in “Betty”  on many a rally.

Mike was a Main committee member for 5yrs, being rally secretary for 3 of them

and Barbara served on Ladies committee for 21 years being chair for 19 of them

and is  currently rally secretary on Main committee and has been for the last 3yrs.
